What I wish was different

It wasn't really a finance internship. It was more of a compliance role but it was a nice experience in a bank.

Advice

Be open to all roles and network as much as you can during the internship. Ask a lot of questions and tag along to any and all meetings possible.

What I liked

I already worked at Chase and my manager was willing to help me use this experience as internship credits. I enjoyed the ability to use my job as my experience.

What I wish was different

I have no complaints, I enjoyed my experience and the supplemental course.

Advice

After your internship (if you aren't employed there as I was) ask the manager if they would be willing to stay in contact with you, and obtain their information. This will help you keep in touch as you may like employment there in the future, or they can be a referral.

I learned more than i could’ve imagined during this experience. There is no hand-holding, you are thrown into the thick of things right away which I loved but made the learning curve very steep.

I loved the program and all the events the program had set up for us. I also loved the team I worked with they really wanted to help me grow and helped me nicely transition into the corporate world.

What I liked

I liked having the opportunity to be in New York for the summer, and I also enjoyed learning more about the technology I was interested in---I was placed on a team that I was pretty excited about! I also enjoyed the projects I worked on, and I felt like I was making a valuable contribution to my team.

What I wish was different

I wish it had been easier to develop interesting projects for my summer, since I think it took a lot of self-advocating to get consistent work.

Advice

Go out of your way to talk to people on different teams, especially if you're interested in potentially returning to the company after the summer is over.
