Schneider Electric

Quality Engineer Intern

May - August 2018 • Foxborough, MA

What I liked

I love the culture of the company and how they teach you skills like metrology that we don’t have at Clarkson.

What I wish was different

I wish they had more of a major project for me.

Advice

Always be adaptable to any role, and don’t be afraid to try something that you never done like technical or business. Also don’t be afraid to ask for more work if you feel like you don’t have enough.

What I liked

The structure of the company and the intern culture was great. This experience was well structured and organized. I felt challenged and supported the entirety of the process. I continued to learn and grow my network everyday.

What I wish was different

I wish I had one more project.

Advice

It's always better to have more on your plate as an intern. This is a way to develop your skills and learn what you want to do in the workforce. The more challenges you face and different opportunities you see, the better.

Manufacturing Intern

June - August 2018 • Oxford, OH

What I liked

I was very hands on in my role and no day was the same. I was excited to come to work and make a difference. I would spend time both in the office and on the shop floor.

What I wish was different

I wish I had a bit more direction with my projects. We were given free range with our projects so it is just a personal preference that I had a little more structure.

Advice

Soak in all of the knowledge from everyone around you and do not be scared to ask questions. Sometimes I found myself scared to ask because I didn't want to waste someone else's time by helping an intern, but it was such a welcoming environment that was set up for me to learn and succeed.
