What I liked
The people were super nice and helpful. It's a laid-back atmosphere (also they play really good music). There's always new merchandise coming in, so there's always something new.
What I wish was different
I would have liked to start the job earlier in the summer, but overall it's been a great experience.
Advice
Don't be afraid to trust your gut, especially if you've worked in retail before. Ask questions! Also, treat customers as you would like to be treated, a little bit of customer service goes a long way.

Associate Business Analyst
June - August 2018 • Philadelphia, PA
What I liked
I really enjoyed the freedom URBN provided to interns in allowing them to develop very creative projects. Working with creatives in various areas was an amazing opportunity to see innovative and up-and-coming ideas in a multitude of areas. The environment was beautiful, creative, innovative, and sustainable; it felt like a dream.
What I wish was different
I wish I had met more of the interns that were my age and that I also could have worked with various other teams on smaller tasks/projects.
Advice
If at first, any internship or job, seems overwhelming or underwhelming, just keep going at your pace and always ask questions. If you feel you want more work, create some ideas or ask for more. If you feel behind on your work, ask for some insight or extra explanation. You learn through asking questions!

To always let people know when you are available to take hours.

What I liked
The culture of the company is very free and based on individualism. There is a place for everyone at urban and coworkers we’re like family.
What I wish was different
Management was very faulty. In two years, I had 4 different managers. There is also no real training for moving up in the company.
Advice

Buying Intern
June - August 2019 • Philadelphia, PA
What I liked
I liked the responsibility that I had as an intern. I was doing every part of the process, going to every meeting, and doing work that was sent out to the whole company. I learned so much and got to touch so many different parts of the company. It was cool to see things that I had done were having an impact. The campus is absolutely beautiful and the people are amazing.
What I wish was different
I was really stressed because I was filling in for someone who had quit our team as an intern, but I think that was a unique scenario. The first time I interned at URBN the summer prior, I loved my experience.
Advice
When you are done with your work, offer to help out other teams. It's a great way to meet other people at the company and see different parts of the business. Go to every Intern event and make the most out of your experience!
