I would go into it with an open mind, and challenge yourself to try every aspect. You have to recognize that you are in a position of power and need to take action and put yourself out there to make change.

The pay was really good and I liked the team a lot.

I did not get enough leadership experience out of it. I was promised more opportunity and control over a real team but I did not really get that once I got to target.
Advice
Be more vocal about wanting to get more out of the experience. I think my mentor just did not really want to let go of her control, possibly because she was scared of me messing something up.

I loved the experience of being able to be a manager at such a major event as the Major League Soccer All-Star week. It was extremely humbling to be able to work with celebrities and professional athletes.

The only thing i wish would have been different would be for it to have lasted longer.
